Haussmann was here

Paris, 1852. Georges-Eugène Haussmann receives an order from Napoleon III. We can see the result of this task below our feet from the top of the Arc of Triumph. Long avenues form what is known as the star and they seem to shout that Haussmann was here. He was an enthusiast of order and wide spaces. His passions lead him to implement an urbanistic plan that created a reformed city without insecure and unnecessary alleyways. He destroyed, tirelessly, every single building or even suburb that he found in his path for straight lines. He cleared up the streets and simplified parisians life avoiding epidemies to expand, revolts to evolve and enabling an access to the police and the firemen.

From the top of the Arc of Triumph I thought that maybe it is a good idea to be from time to time Haussmanns in our life construction.
